My name is María Scarano and I'm an experience designer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. My life is deeply guided by the duty and commitment to serve others and do Good. To be light. To be fire.

Mérida is a city and municipality of Spain, part of the Province of Badajoz, and capital of the autonomous community of Extremadura. Originally, Emerita Augusta was founded as a Roman colony in 25 AD under the order of the emperor Augustus to serve as a retreat for the veteran soldiers (emeritus) of the legions V Alaudae and X Gemina.

Mérida occurs as a result of the feminine audacity with which I characterize myself and the sense of honor and moral duty that make a good soldier.

let your light burn

A subject that weighs heavily on my mind is the sense of duty, the duty of each to do what is right. A flame that burns inside everyone, silent, hidden. Indicating the way, facing you, inviting you to fight.The idea of ​​having a fire inside that gives you life, that burns you so that you do Good is something I think about a lot. I wonder how big it is in those around me. What feeds it. In my case, it has deeply pointed my way. I have not always done the right thing, but at this point in my life that light is so strong.

As an experience designer, I dedicate myself to designing human experiences. Every action we take, every step we take: our entire life is an experience, or a series of them. Hence, the design of experiences has the potential to transform our whole life.

I think that we now have a great responsibility to design experiences from Good, that do it, that defend it. That illuminate our reality. I believe that if we let our inner light guide us, we will create experiences that are deeply valuable to others, that radiate, that empower, that transform, that save. Let your light burn.
